Jude is an exceptionally kind and empathetic tutor. She is always easy to talk to and makes an effort to focus on your weaknesses, whilst building your confidence in understanding biological systems. I had several hours with Jude in preparation for my A Levels and intend to contact her again for help regarding my upcoming medicine application!

Following the loss of their father,  my children were really struggling with motivation and work planning. Jude was able to completely transform their attitude, and boost their confidence.  Able to see their potential, she engaged at the most meaningful level,  approaching topics in an exciting and inspiring way. My son was failing in his A2 Biology.  He is now in his third year, studying Genetics and Immunology, achieving a first in all subjects. My daughter has done equally well. And, you guessed it...my youngest son, currently in his A2 year,  is receiving tutorials at the moment, to compensate for the shortfalls in teaching, motivation, and lost structure to learning,  due to the pandemic. I cannot recommend this outstanding lady highly enough

Jude tutored me in my applications to study medicine, she provided crucial feedback in both my personal statement and interview preparation.

Her personal statement was tailored and ensured it had the best impact. For example, I had a tendency to overuse certain complex medical terminology and the phrasing of the statement was not quite as impactful as it could have been. Jude ensured that I used terminology that would be expected of a prospective medical student and structured the statement to show that I have the potential to make a good medical student using appropriate examples. My statement initially tried to demonstrate capabilities that were beyond that of a sixth form student, instead they showed examples of skills and attributes from my experiences at the time and showed how they demonstrated a capacity to study medicine and make a good doctor.

In interview preparation, Jude helped my interview technique in terms of content, body language and voice control. Her feedback ensured that I improved my interview technique after each session and made sure that my tone, manner and terminology were all appropriate and presenting me in the best light. Her sessions improved my confidence and ensured that my enthusiasm came through in the best light.

Jude’s help in my applications was a significant boost to my applications that I got significant benefit from.

I was lucky to find Jude at a time where I needed some help with improving my biology grade and also with my dentistry UCAS application. Jude provided valuable teaching sessions focussed around biology topic areas I was struggling with and also allowed me to enhance my exam technique through past paper questions. Through her teaching and useful tips, I was able to build confidence and work towards achieving the highest possible grade. Additionally, she offered personal statement guidance whilst also helping me to prepare for dental school interviews, which helped me to fine-tune essential skills required for the interview stage and also run through a mock interview to ascertain areas for improvement.
